The #SchumerShutdown Hashtag Is Getting A Big Boost From Russian Bots
The GOP slogan is now the top trending hashtag being promoted by Russian influence operators on Twitter.

The USA gets PUNKED yet again.
Yeah but the pictures of him with people and a hat on tho
Schumer and McConnell have shut Trash, and his Goebbels Miller, out of the negotiations.
Trash is being led around by his tiny by Miller and other WH sociopaths.

Trump is ‘itching’ to jump into shutdown debate even as aides struggle to keep him quiet

When you elect a borderline re as president.
Trash has been out of his depth (in the baby pool) since 20 Jan 17.
“As long as Stephen Miller is in charge of negotiating immigration, we are going nowhere. He’s been an outlier for years,”
Graham told reporters at the Capitol.
“I’ve talked with the president; his heart is right on this issue. He’s got a good understanding of what will sell. And every time we have a proposal, it is only yanked back by staff members.”
The reality, though, is arguably more complicated.
Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, said
Trump has hawkish immigration views on a gut level but
doesn’t necessarily understand all of the policy details and implications.

iow, Trash is truly cognitively impaired, cognitively limited, y'all elected a stupid, ignorant greasebag

'Murica never cease to amaze me... how a shutdown is possible when a party has majority everywhere ? I need some cliff notes tbh
Schumer: We will vote to re-open the Government.
Republicans get bailed out again.
You're acting like the Democrats have much leverage. The GOP controls everything in Washington.
Oh yeah McConnell is going to be trustworthy on that
"consideration of legislation dealing with DACA"
less, feckless, effete Dems FOLD AGAIN
McConnell lied to Collins to get her vote for tax cut, and he's LYING to Schumer now.
"... consideration of legislation ..." !
So they would have blown up the filibuster again?
That's a double whammy for them. People are already pissed off at them.
McConnell offers same deal he made—and broke—in December for Trump shutdown vote
a bipartisan group of 20 senators is in talks to end the shutdown by
letting Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell play them for fools—
for the second time on the same issue in at least one case.
The idea is that they would vote to fund the government through February 8 in exchange
for McConnell’s promise of a vote on immigration.
As a reminder, Flake voted for the Republican tax bill back in December based on this promise:

Bipartisan #DACA bill will be on the Senate floor in January.
— Jeff Flake (@JeffFlake) December 20, 2017
And McConnell publicly promised a vote in January.
Now, the group of oh-so-savvy bipartisan senators—and the public—is
supposed to believe that it’ll happen in February.
Pinkie promise! Except, uh:
Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), the No. 2 Senate Republican, predicted the government would still be closed on Monday and said
it would be "ridiculous" to agree to promise an immigration vote.
So Republicans bargained 800,000 Dreamers’ future for Jeff Flake’s tax vote.
And they got his tax vote, didn’t hold a vote on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, and
turned to setting health care for nine million children against Dreamers’ futures,
forcing a government shutdown.
But definitely Democrats and the couple bipartisan Republicans should trade their vote for a McConnell promise and the used toilet paper it’s presumably printed on.
6 Year CHIP extension in the bill.
Which is why I would have voted for it the first time.
CHIP has always had bi-partisan, nearly unanimous support, until the Reign of Trash.
Also, all thsi did was kicked the can a few weeks. We will be back in the same situation when this extension expires, no?
