I laughed when that one dude lost his arm and he was all nonchalant about it... that was the point the movie was ruined for me, up to that point I was intrigued. I forced myself to watch the rest of it, but it quickly went "Leprechaun in the hood" bad after that point... It's like they tried to produce a compelling back story of the whole Cloverfield up to that point, then just said " it, lets just do some re ed semi-funny stuff with this dudes arm!" totally ruining the pretty decent explanation at the end of how all this Cloverfield started.
