24/7 confirmed LB David Gbenda of Katy Cinco Ranch will be on campus this weekend.
According to 24/7, 2020 RB Zachary Evans of Galena Park North Shore will head to Austin this weekend.
Good opportunity to sell him and 2020 RB Mookie Cooper out of St. Louis on playing together.
Holland from 24/7 has put in UT crystal balls for 2020 OL Jaylen Garth (Port Neches-Groves) and 2020 CB Jaylon Jones (Cibolo Steele).
How does Evan compare to say Cain or Sanders? Just curious on if the recruitment is going to affect him and if he is the bigger fish to catch in all this.
Evans is the best RB prospect to come out of Texas since Adrian Peterson, that’s all you gotta know.
Exciting to think about the possibilities with Roschon, Hornsby and Card handing off to Cain, Cooper and Evans.
Something to file away on Gbenda...there's conflicting info out there on which schools are genuinely pushing for him.
From what I can tell, the only Texas site saying Gbenda is a UT priority right now is 24/7.
I've seen talk elsewhere that certain schools have backed off after seeing him live in the spring.
Texas Tech gets first 2019 commitment since last summer.

Okay, so with that said, do you take both Cain and Sanders or do you only take one so you can go all in on Evans. If Evans is the best since Peterson, I want him, and don't want anything or anyone giving him second thoughts on playing for Texas.
This is the kind of decisions I miss having to make. this is right up there with Derek Jeter picking the next woman he is going to give Harpies to.
CB Jeffery Carter of Aledo has transferred to Mansfield Legacy.

Cain and Sanders are both top 5 RBs in the country. If they both want to play for you, you take them and worry about Evans later. A bird in hand is worth two in the bush.
But seriously, Sanders isn’t happening. Cain this cycle and Evans/Mookie next cycle.
A few more names coming in this weekend, according to OrangeBloods...
2019
TE, Jared Wiley, Temple
2020
QB, Hudson Card, Austin Lake Travis
OL, Chad Lindberg, League City Clear Creek
S, Chris Thompson, Jr., Duncanville
S, Bryson Washington, Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA)
According to what's been reported so far, Evans is well aware of his worth and is pretty casual about anyone else who may present compe ion.
Maybe he changes his mind if UT hits a grand slam with a Cain/Sanders combo, but nothing to worry about right now.
Texas is probably working as hard on him, if not harder, than any of their other priorities in any class.
Yeah there's still a feeling of uncertainty with kliffs job I think
CB Marques Caldwell of Alvin was supposed to be in Austin today, but he pushed it back to Wednesday according to 24/7.
