I was a frosh in HS in Visalia, the big sprint star around here (1964) was Edisons (Fresno) Sam Davis. He was on a whole other level. He's end up winning state at Fresno City JC then off to SJS to run on one of the great NCAA 4x1 teams ever with Kirk Clayton, Ronnie Ray Smith and the great John Carlos.

I own a 10,000 book home library a 7000 CD, tapes, records music library. Now add the fact I got into sports, music, literature as a little kid, which for me was the 50's. I have this pitbullish need to know the origins of things that interest me, so I find out where it all came from.
Where did it all come from? I have to know all about the 1920 NFL season, the first Gothic, Horror, heroic fantasy, sci fi books authors. I have to know the first track athletes of merit, so I do.
I saw a game the Browns played where Jim Brown wasn't the best RB on his own team, is that a bull statement?
