I love the preview headline "Begs to be seen in a crowded theater!" Hollywood is struggling.

Sadly this was the case for the LotR premieres as well. Probably the last time I see a movie on opening day.

Good movie. Top 5 movie experience for me due to how quiet everyone was in the theater. They did a good job at making you feel like you were in the movie.

Movie was great. Theater crowd was mostly good. Some kids upfront started talking a bit at one point and some dude stood up and told everyone to shut the up and watch the movie. I don't think anyone talked after that.

I'd recommend drafthouse for this. Normally that's where I go, but wasn't an option last night.

Great movie. Felt like I held my breath for 90 minutes. It would be interesting to see a version without score.

For those complaining about the crowds, I would suggest finding a theater that isn't in a mall...

There’s actually a lot of points where the movie is almost silent, so the noise of 100 people eating popcorn gets annoying

It’s a solid movie but HOLY this is so overhyped. I was expecting one of the greatest horror/monster films of all time, but instead basically got Signs Part 2.

It’s worth checking out in theaters for sure, but it’s like Baby Driver level overrated.

    7/10

Was expecting more but it was good. Wasnt too long and the concept was original.

Go to a matinee viewing in the weekday if you want a good audience that doesn't talk during movie.

Man, I haven't seen a theatre in a mall in such a long time...either they're becoming that rare or I just don't shop at enough malls.

The people who can't peel the plastic wrap off their candy boxes or the people who make noise with their plastic nacho trays are even worse.

    I liked it a lot.

I was fricking squirming in my seat, some scenes.

And I couldn't stop myself saying "C'mon, man.." near the end.

    Effective movie making.

(I do admit, around 30-40% into the movie I almost nodded off, during the set-up/ forest/ waterfall sequences)
