    If their best player stays healthy, the T'Pups are likely the 3-seed and win 49-52 games. By your definition, every team in the playoffs is pathetic except Golden State, Houston and Toronto.

    Okay and the Rockets didn't do some coasting? They could have won every game after the All-Star break except the Toronto game if they really wanted to. That was a scheduling loss they almost won anyways.

    The Warriors coasted some but they were also a MASH unit trying to get to the finish line.

    It's not that they'd lose, but how. Their starters would quit, and their bench would have to pull out a moral win, i.e. a close game in a loss.

    According to Rockets fans, vanilla casual fans in general, and the gy NBA media, the Rockets are the best team in the world and Frauden is a deserving MVP. After all that hype, it's still championship or choke for the Rockets.

    I don't remember the Rockets ever getting the hype that those "lob city" Clipper squads got. Being picked as finals contenders year after year with Doc even drawing up the championship parade map
