If their best player stays healthy, the T'Pups are likely the 3-seed and win 49-52 games. By your definition, every team in the playoffs is pathetic except Golden State, Houston and Toronto.
Did you watch that series and come away with the feeling that the wolves were a quality coached, good squad that just simply got run off the court by a historic offense?

No. Neither did the rest of the world. They saw horrible coaching, bad rotations, and D Rose get the offense run through him. Which player besides Butler would you have loved to have on your squad?

The Wolves were one of the healthiest teams in the league this year. If you look at the teams they were competing with for playoff spots, you'll see that the Nuggets, Spurs, Clippers, Jazz and Pelicans all dealt with worse injury situations than the Wolves did this year. Take away injuries and the Wolves likely aren't even sniffing the 3 seed.

Additionally, as I pointed out before the playoffs, the Wolves lost way too many games against the tanking teams this year. They lost twice each to the Suns and Grizzlies and also lost to the pitiful Bulls, Knicks, Hawks, Magic and Nets. That arguably cost them more than Butler's injury did. With how tight the race for playoff spots was in the West this year, teams couldn't afford to give away that many games to the dregs of the league and expect to get a high seed.

Overall, the Wolves are a mediocre team at best with atrocious coaching. The Warriors would have swept them with ease; the fact that the Rockets couldn't speaks volumes.

Okay and the Rockets didn't do some coasting? They could have won every game after the All-Star break except the Toronto game if they really wanted to. That was a scheduling loss they almost won anyways.

The Warriors coasted some but they were also a MASH unit trying to get to the finish line.
The Rockets treated every regular season game like it was Game 7 of the Finals.

Westbrook plays for OKC, not Houston.
    Westbrook's playoff numbers....
    OWS: - 0.1
    DWS: 0.3
    WS: 0.2
    WS/48: .043
    +/-: - 18.2

Heck, Westbrook isn't even the alpha male on his own team.

    James Harden....

    OWS: 0.6
    DWS: 0.3
    WS: 0.9
    WS/48: .245
    +/- : +13.7

    No contest really!

Which is why they sat numerous players down the stretch because they didn't need them.

I don't see them getting past GS. Utah might be tough a tough out next round too. OKC would be a 4 or 5 game series victory for Houston, though.

I'll say Houston goes out in 6 in the conference finals.

The Jazz literally just won in Houston with Mitc shooting like , French DeAndre getting exposed per par, and Rubio out.

All it takes is one home court win. The Rockets have played, at the most, one really good playoff game. They'll be okay, at least until the next round. That said, I wouldn't be shocked if this went 7.
