Simons was a top-10 prospect in the 2019 class before reclassifying to 2018. Currently going through a post-graduate season at IMG Academy, the explosive comboguard will forogo college altogether and enter the draft a year early.

There’s an inherent risk in drafting somebody who lacks experience like Simons. He’s not mature physically and we’re likely a few years away from him realizing his potential. Still, he has the upside of one of the best guards in this class.

Standing around 6-4, Simons is a smooth isolation scorer who can create his own shot with ease. He needs to develop his passing and basketball I.Q. more, but there’s plenty of time for him to do so. That’s especially true if a team with the proper patience (probably a contender) rolls the dice.
