he's just passing along information... not everything has to be a point
The father should be charged with something.
You know this happened today right?
You edited it from "should have been charged"
I'll let him tell me if his info is relevant or not. Thanks for your input tho.
It's relevant. Any details on the shooter are a good thing conducive to the conversation.
would have to know the cir stances in the home before deciding if the father's gonna be charged... if he had it stored/locked away and the kid found the key or some , hard to hold the dad accountable
Not to diminish the gun problem, but the other common denominator is that these people have gotten to the point where they want to kill other people. Agree that something needs to be done about the easy access to high capacity guns.
But even with no guns, I believe some portion of these potential murderers will find alternative methods to take lives.
never put your guard down
I'm guessing another single parent nightmare.
That's the gist of the argument against gun control.
oh, no doubt. i think its a good step though. some portion of these guys will find alternative methods. some wont.
of the portion that do, some portion will find a method that will produce similar amounts of carnage. some wont. last week there was a "stabbing attack" in paris. 2 people died, one of whom was the assailant. not all alternative means are going to lead to 9 deaths.
but i think restricting access is a pretty viable countermeasure and it's something that we can have complete control over... unlike the underlying mental states
I'm gonna say you're wrong without looking.
Shocker!
Which part?
The latter.
constantly searching for every other variable instead of just looking at the common denominator...
OK, I looked.
You're wrong.
Shocker!
Texas AG Paxton: US Schools Should Mimic Israel's Security
Schools in the United States should borrow security ideas from Israel to keep students and teachers safe, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said Friday.
I agree with that.
Dealing with the underlying mental states would be infinitely more difficult.
