San Antonio beat OKC in a game 6 clincher on the road. With Parker on the bench.

As much as I love to on the Warriors: CP0 gets injured either in the playoffs or right before the playoffs every year. At some point, that isn't luck for the other team, it's just a fact of life in the NBA.

Also, the Rockets got disgustingly lucky themselves last series when all of Utah's guards got injured.

I agree on all accounts. I just find it funny that as soon as these s are on the verge of elimination, the Rockets have to deal with a CP3 injury.

    Great timing, basketball gods.

People may say that the Warriors get lucky when it comes to teams getting injured, but lets be honest. Other than maybe the Cavs in 2015 none of these other teams were going to win a 7 game series against the Warriors even when healthy. Heck I'll would say the Warriors would win Game 6 even with Chris Paul.

Just because you don't play him doesn't mean you concede and if he's hurt, playing him would hurt the team.
Not playing him would be hard for Mike D to explain to an owner who's paying out the ass for him, especially if you lose the series.

Their lack of PG depth is worse than the Spurs lack of C depth. I get that their 2 best players comprise 1.5 PG's and make a combined $52+M, so naturally the third option is going to be minimal, but like the Warriors, no team needs 5 C's in this era (even more perplexing, Anderson and Tucker aren't included in that, yet are generally the 3rd and 4th options), especially one with a preference for playing small ball.

Paul's injury leaves them with 3 uninspiring options: Gordon plays it solo or in tandem with Johnson or Jackson plays. I suspect they go with option 2 and dust off the corpse of Johnson.
