Dude, talk to me about what to expect in the long jump at our Nationals, is that too hard for ya slick, if it is then how in the can you be a track SOURCE....well?

So you can talk 16 year old Cuban long jumpers just not USA World Class long jumpers, hahahahahaha

Being this thread is about a... WOW.... track performance.

Jamaican Don Quarrie was a WR 9.9 cat and an Olympic 200m gold medalist. Steve Williams was a 9.1 WR (I was there) and one of the greatest sprinters ever.

So there they are at an indoor meet in Arizona, they will be running the 60. Also in the field was a local HS kid named LaNoris Marshall, yep, ya guessed it, the kid waxed the two sprint greats.

This anchor leg is still talked about today. Absolutely amazing.

Would be nice if our track SOURCE SFS actually did something. Avante obviously enjoys the sport, not sure we can say that about our SOURCE who doesn't appear too interested in track at all
SFS being our EXPERT/SOURCE who do you see winning the long jump at our Nationals, come on guy try doing something, can you?
When I first got into this stuff, we'd see a lot of the HBCU athletes in the mix. Talented black athletes wanting to stay close to home so to stay in the south there they were at Texas Southern, Southern U, Grambling, Florida A&M, Jackson State etc etc. So who can tell me the first Nationally acclaimed HBCUer in the sprints? Come on ya can do this, let's see it.

Who was the first HBCUer to have a 1000 yards rushing in the NFL? How about the AFL?

Come on ya can do this little people.

Your meltdown nonwithstanding, you never said anything about the long jumper in the OP ever until this thread.

You're a got damn fraud since you never knew about this bona fide superstar.

In 2017 Echevarria jumped 27-2. That was the 15th*** best jump in the world. His Cuban teammate Maykei D. Masso was World Ranked number six, and had a 27-4. The best jump in the world last season was 28-4 1/4 by South African Luvo Manyonga, who was ranked number one in the world.

    ***Seven jumpers jumped 27-2.

NOBODY....ever sees a 27-2 18 year old improving to 29 feet in a season, that simply doesn't happen.

So for this kid to do what he did is amazing.

But, I don't believe SFS a guy who never talks track actually said anything about a Cuban long jumper. He won't even talk USA long jumpers or anyone else.

Where is that at, love to see it.

SFS...oh by the way keep an eye on Cuban long jumper..................

Yeah right, coming from a guy with no opinions at all about the NCAA/Nationals.

    27-2 doesn't excite anyone in 2018.

    8.28 m (27 ft 2 in) 1.2 Ralph Boston (USA) Moscow, Soviet Union 16 July 1961[1]

There have been over 800 jumps superior to 27-2. Trust me NOBODY sees a 27-2 jumper and thinks......next stop 29 feet, ha~~~~~~~~~~~

And, anytime a track athlete makes some dramatic improvement in a short period of time, yep..........PEDS????

If it's teenagers doing amazing things in track that would actually be an 18 year old pole vaulter Mondo Duplantis a Swede who goes to HS in the USA. He just won Paris yesterdy and last season was world ranked at number six.

A HS kid jumping 19-4 is incredible. No HS/teenager is more revered than this kid.
