I thought Curry would win it this time.....
In today’s PG-heavy NBA, it’s pretty remarkable that no PG has won a FMVP since Parker did against the GOAT in ‘07. Will a PG ever win FMVP again?
I thought Curry would win it this time.....
I wonder if Tim wins FMVP if that series played out in 2018 rather than 2007, since the media is far more stat-savvy nowadays..Duncan led the Spurs in rebounds, blocks, ASSISTS and steals in that series
No, but Iguadola's ability to win one makes Enrique's that much less significant.
In terms of their roles on their respective teams:
Tim=Durbeta
Ginobili=Curry
Enrique=Iguadola
Curry should have won this year or tied with Durant.
Parker was great that series. He just attacked the basket over and over and they couldn't stop him. Parker was one of the best ever at both getting to the basket, and finishing once he got there with a variety of finishes and the sweet tear drop. He doesn't get mentioned as a top 10 PG all-time. And he probably isn't. But at his best he played well and often bested other supposed top 10 PG's like Nash and Paul.
Parker couldn't shoot threes like Curry, but his speed and finishing ability made him just as dangerous if not more. He could often be a one man fast break if the rebounder got him the ball fast enough and he wrecked all kinds of havoc in the paint, which he got to with ease. Hard to watch him lose all of that, but age always wins out in the end.
The best guard to not ever win one tbh, especially over the last 16 years....
Unfortunately for Curry, the Cavs didn't have Boobie Gibson this time.
Curry not even as good as BBBBillups
What are some great players to ring but never win one? Curry, KG, Pippen, Gasol come to mind....
gino is the biggest miss followed by guys like drob and the other pistons
but really, lebron is always FMVP and the fact that they don't award it to the losing side cheapens the award more than the boobie gibson factor
Perhaps Murray will win it someday lol
Manure always has his 2013 honorary-finals MVP for the work he did for the Heat tbh
Ties are for losers. One person needs to be picked. And if the refs hadn't of stolen Game 1, it'd probably have been Lebron, tbh. And circling this back to the OP, Lebron was PG. Let's face reality on that one.
No way Kurry wins FMVP after game 3 performance in a sweep. 3/16 @ 18.8% including 1/10 from 3 meanwhile KD bangs in 43 @ 65.2% to bury Cavs.
god damn....
This it,chuckers from deep shouldn't win and when invariably their long range is off,their teams struggle unless you have the Snake on yer team
