I would be very happy with him, Lonnie or Huerter there.
Does anyone believe that if we keep the 18th pick and whomever we draft will be in Austin for most of the year?
I would be very happy with him, Lonnie or Huerter there.
If the Spurs draft Musa, or some slow, big-headed freak then I'm done.
Well, yeah. Rookie seasons aren't for rookies since they need time to get over themselves, nor would it be fair to the rest of the team to play them.
I like Zhaire, but he measured in at 6'2.75 without shoes at the combine (6'4 w/ shoes). Thought he was much taller than that. Not great size for a 2-guard. His 6'10 wingspan helps alleviate some of that concern though.
I'd love to see the Spurs get one of these guys:
1. Jerome Robinson, G, Boston College
2. Zhaire Smith, SG, Texas Tech
3. Miles Bridges, F, Michigan State
The Big Three at 18.
Spurs must be chomping at the bit then..
The 6-4 was disappointing, no doubt.
But still bigger than Forbes (6-3, 6-5 wingspan) and Mills (6-0.5, 6-2 wingspan).
I'd take him in a backcourt with Murray defense-wise. Can't shoot that great, but it's not like Mills or Bryn make shots in the playoffs either.
He's also the exact same size as Brandon Paul (6-2.75 / 6-4). Smith has a 0.5 inch shorter wingspan but a + 2 inch standing reach
I see it.
If the Clippers are trying to move those 2lottery picks to get into the Top 7, then Kawhi is likely not being traded to LAC. Unless them moving up would be because the Spurs want a top pick, of course.
What if the Spurs said, they want a top 10 pick to move Kawhi? And the Clipps and C's are trying to get that to finalize the deal. Unlikely since all reports are that PATFO have been pretty quiet.
No one under 6'5 please.
Some guy
id rather he goes to the clippers. the lakers.
Jerry West knows what Kawhi is and he also knows RC isn’t gonna take a BS deal. Let’s hope West can pull together something good and leap frog the Lakers. Please RC, anyone but the Lakers.
I wouldn't mind exiling Kawhi to the Clippers. His career would be essentially over until nagging injuries finish him off.
Agree no more PG's or undersized SG's.
they coulda had him for blake and some change tbh
^ Would be so disappointed.
I don't mind him. He looks like he will be better than Danny Green ever was. (no knock on Danny he was pretty good but he is a Spurs system player). A lot of mock drafts have Kevin Huerter to the Spurs as well. That guy looks to have even more potential since he is a legit 6' 7'' SG. Vicenzo at 6' 5'' is generous it looks like.
