stats are pretty meh, decent but nothing crazy. gets to the line at a decent rate but my god his 3pt% is actually worse than i thought...
still, hes a polished scorer and has been a lot longer than kawhi. defense is obviously a concern. but he did average 5 assists a game last season which is impressive and actually chucked a bit less. 17 FGA per game last year. all in all he would be a decent player to have as your third option if you're an elite defensive team with space. but unless LMA is going to really start shooting more from deep i just dont see them meshing well, especially with Murray. but yeah his eFG% leaves a lot to be desired and his DRPM is negative

Seems odd, given the timing.

I know it will never happen, but would you consider Lowry, DeRozan and that Anunoby dude for Leonard? I don't think I might. That's how lowly I think of the Lowry-DeRozan duo, tbh.

Hard pass on Lowry. He's set to make $64M over the next two seasons (!)... and he's a huge playoff choker. We'd be doing TOR a huge favor taking him off their hands.
Made a quick trip to Raptors Reddit. They’re willing to let go of DeRozan, Lowry, Ibaka, and Powell, the first two because of that poo-poo platter of a playoffs they had last year and the next two because of their albatross contracts. As much as I prefer DeRozan the Spurs might likely get Lowry, Anunoby, and either of Ibaka or Valanciunas simply because Powell doesn’t make sense anymore in a roster stacked with combos and DeRozan is the kid they’ve invested on. Trade will probably look like Lowry/DeRozan, Valanciunas/Ibaka, and Anunoby for Leonard, Gasol, Mills/Green, and Brandon Paul. Toronto might throw in a pick for helping them get rid of DeRozan’s albatross. Masai is no chump and RC seems to be confused more than efficient right now.
Or maybe it’s just both teams trying to create leverage for each other, with the Raps signaling they’re willing to move their backcourt and the Spurs feigning interest from other teams and encouraging them to part with the assets they’v been adamant on giving up. I don’t know how to feel about DeRozan because he seems like a player the Spurs will never touch until he’s on the last few years of his career. Not sure what to feel about Lowry either since Murray, Mills, and White are pretty much set and Lowry complicates things.
