Your franchise player quit on you.
Mavs and Spurs both have equally zero chance at winning a le next season.
Your franchise player quit on you.
They get newsfeeds in the cellar? Cool.
$500 says the Spurs win more than not only 50 but 55? You in? PM me from your main account if so.
Those DeRozan posts in the past were from fans of a team with Kawhi on it and thus a legit shot at a le, so DeRozan's disappearing acts in the playoffs mattered. With Leonard gone this is a regular season team that can probably win 50 games and maybe a round in the playoffs, so another DeRozan choking act wouldn't cost the Spurs a le. Lowered expectations, mono. He's fine if the goal is to win some regular season games, which is apparently the direction the team wants to go in.
The kicker being they bit their lip and took it the whole time, right up till the very end
How do you see this team winning 55 games? They're going to be terrible defensively and no guarantee Aldridge has another career year like he did this season. Fifty five wins is usually a le contender and I don't see that at all with this roster.
Agreed anywhere between 47-52 is possible doable. Don't see us winning much more than that. 52 imo is best case scenario.
It's pretty easy to be paper tigers and still win a load of games. See: 2011 Spurs.
Get rid of that sig and avy.
Just changed the avy, forgot about the sig tbh lol
Well done.
Sorry. I don’t bet money online.
Honestly, even if I did, I wouldn’t bet on this. I don’t have a big enough personal or emotional stake either way, either outcome. I don’t think they’ll win 50 games. But nor do I think it’s impossible for them to do so.
I'll take the 55 bet lol
I'll give you $750 if they get to 55, you give me 5 if they don't .
How many games do you have them winning?
47-52 IMO..
Seems about where I'm at. I'm guessing somewhere from 45 to 53.
52 and under you get 500, over I get 500?
Regarding injuries, what do you think is a fair number void the deal?
The Spurs probably win 45, would be surprised if they win more than 50.
ed up but
Let's be honest here about the state of the Spurs. Duncan was the last remnants that was keeping the Spurs an elite team.
Leadership can keep a team afloat for years once they enter the "life on support" stage and Duncan did that for a better part of 2 years.
Kawhi May or may not keep thriving but he did himself no favors by acting like a complete . I doubt he'll ever reach true leadership status like Duncan and Robinson.
Spurs will win 42-45 games next year. The West has improved significantly top to bottom, so fewer wins isn’t necessarily some indictment on Derozan. Mavs are astronomically better than last season and will probably still win only 25 to 30 games.
1/2 Warriors and Rockets
3. OKC
4/5 Lakers and Utah
6. Portland
7. Spurs
8. Wolves/Nuggets
Man, fuq google for autocorrecting "demar defrozan".
Sure, anything can happen, and just like I believe they can win over 50 games and even reach the second round, it wouldn't surprise me if they miss the playoffs. All I'm saying is that expecting the Spurs to win over 50 games isn't some crazy super homerish idea, like you make it seem it is. In fact, it is what most objective metrics would suggest.
