    Absolutely no way the Celtics were as hated, Larry Bird is one of the 3 most beloved athletes by white people in pro sports history

    Pistons, Bucks, Hawks, sixers, rockets all hated Celts due to playoff and NBA finals battles.

    But agree with HH that of course he was the great white hope ...but saying only the Lakers hated the Celts is crazy the only fanbases that hate the celts as much and in some cases worse than the Lakers are Sixers and Pistons fans who grew up watching teh NBA in the 80's

    Ya, I know sports fans have short memories, but I'm surprised that this has already been forgotten..

    They were getting booed out of the building in cities like Portland and Memphis that had no rivalry with the Heat and nothing to do with LeBron's free agency decision

    This is why I laughed when the Warriors were so upset KD got booed in Vancouver in that preseason game in 2017. It was literally only a taste of what the Heatles got
