He’s smart, but he’s mean, reckless, and stupid at times on the court. Better to find our own version of him that isn’t ready to age out of the league.
Is Draymond wanting to come to SA?
I enjoy his takes, very intelligent basketball mind.
I get to see Wemby on Sunday in Austin!!!! He better play.

This tbh
ive always liked draymond more than most on this board. he'd be a much better version of sochan, and in SOME ways, be a mentor. but he is way too loose of a cannon to be a leader, just turned 34, and is on year 1 of a 4 year contract.
and for those reasons, im out
You don't need a Draymond Green if you don't have the team around him to make his talents matter.
Noticed Spurs not throwing many lobs to Wemby, injury prevention strategy? (yes I am also aware we are terrible at throwing them).
Best case scenario.
I am sure we will be assisted by a bigger stats geek than me with some “lob attempt” stats. It is also possible a putrid conversion rate is skewing my memory. I do feel like I can recall plenty of unsuccessful lobs, especially with the quick foul on Wemby and sending him to the line. Tiny pesky little creatures, trying to delay his greatness…

To be fair and Victor takes about it earlier in the season, all his previous teammates struggled for a time to adapt at passing him the ball. I can see the necessary adaptation period, but still after 60 games/8 months?
I also think that bc of the attention Victor gets on defense there’s a high risk of interception that restrain his teammates who aren’t natural passers.
Damn must have been nice to be in the building for that one tonight. Holy that reverse he did on Nic Claxton at the 1:00 mark of this video:
I mean, Claxton is a 7 footer and VW makes him look like an oompa loompa. those b2b stuffs were nasty
Victor just passed Tim for block totals by rookies in Spurs history:
BLOCKS GAMES MINUTES BLK/36 AGE 1. David Robinson319 82 3002 3.8 24 2. Victor Wembanyama207 60 1742 4.3 19-20 3. Tim Duncan206 82 3204 2.3 21
imagine VW playing 36 minutes a night (DRob played 36.5 and Tim 39 their rookie years).
he'd win DPOY this season
When he’s on one, he can already take games over like the absolute best of the best. Nobody else takes over on both ends the way he does other than AD when he’s feeling it
He should win it anyways.
Yes, I got to see an amazing performance! It was incredibly loud in the Moody Center. Wemby really brought it. I'll write up a full report later.
He might
DPOY being an individual award, he should normally get it
I watched a podcast with Ryen Russillo fom the Ringer, who has a vote, explaining to Sean Elliott that he'll vote for Wemby despite Spurs's record...
I was at the OKC game last month and damn can Wemby electrify a crowd
he had staples ooing and aawing during his 5x5 game as well
