Interesting to see that despite adding two of top 5 players on that list, Houston missed the POs. They could next year (or not) but can't replace star power. If spurs want to make the POs.next year themselves, they'll need to add a star line player. Just adding 2 "quality vets" shouldn't do it. Another reason why I believe they should go after Trae.

If we added a couple of vets and went 41-41 next year and were fighting for a play-in spot into the last couple weeks of the season despite losing one of our best players, I’d call that a massive success. Houston’s season is exactly where we hope to be next year. They overpaid for FVV, and I don’t like Brooks at all… but FVV’s deal doesn’t hamper them in anyway, it’s a short-term overpay while their youth are all on rookie deals. Smart. I hope we do the same (though we’ll need to do it via trade).
