Kareem is overrated but Big O and Kagic would didn’t win without him either
That said he should have done better in the ty 70s
Moses was great during his prime, dude regularly bullied Kareem
But didn’t he have a short prime?

wilt ate russell's lunch but the celtics just had better teams for the most part
Lebron is in the conversation for #2 all time but so are atleast 4 other players
Durant and KG too high
Giannis not yet. Curry probably ends up in that spot
Malone & Barkley single handily hamstrung by MJ
Dr.J & Moses only winning 1 ring? Watched the Bill Walton Doc recently. They lost 4 straight in the Finals...
Who hasn’t?
Lebeta
The mountain?
Dave Cowens.
Worked Kream Jabbar for the 1974 Championship.
Came back again in 1976 to take 2 in 3 years.
I'm not Lebron's biggest fan but lol
74 finals
cowens - 23/10/4.6 assists/0.3 blocks on 44% shooting
kareem - 33/12/5.4 assists/2.1 blocks on 55% shooting
Another Billy Russell - Wilt type take down.
Altho Kream is no Wilt, same idea.
Boston team >>>>> Bucks team, esp in clutch Game 7.
Jokic has been my favorite player for several years now, so there's nothing to cry about!
Now that he's been an FMVP + 2-time MVP, I'm fine with him being ranked higher.
It's still really close in terms of skill, though. Robinson was the superior defensive player and an offensive freak in his prime. He'd dunk all over Jokic, no doubt.
Dave Cow puttting up the left handed hook over Kream on the way to the 1974 Chip.
Joker is one heck of a player, but comparing players from different eras is always hard. Jokic needs to play better defense.
The question is how well Jokic would fair at his position if he played in the era of the big men.
At the stereotypical/archaic take. Jokic is a fine defender in the post and in the p-n-r (good hands, positioning), he's just a terrible rim protector. Can't have it all.
This isn't a decade ago, this is the era of big men . . . again. Jokic, Embiid, Davis, Antetokounmpo (more PF, but still), Towns, Gobert, Adebayo, Sabonis, etc.
He was until 2021
There are 3 multiple mvp winners that have never made ONE all defensive team since it started. Jokic, Curry, and Nash.
Jokic is a terrible defender. The one guy no one expected to do anything in the finals was the Heat's best player(Bam). Why was that?
At thinking "no one expected" Adebayo, the Heat's second best player, "to do anything in the finals" and relying on counting stats without context.
Mpg (41.8) and usage rate (26.7%) = counting stats (21.8 ppg), but they came on 50.4% TS and 45.5 EFG, both well below league average.
Jokic has Hakeem in sight
He would need 3+ les to enter Bill/Wilt talks
Shaq? Possible but not likely
Yah the hippie Era is troubling for Kareem's legacy. If I'm comparing him to Lebron.
But Kareem revolutionized the game from HS to UCLA to NBA as no one else. I still have him as my #2 overall. To his credit he adapted with the game and off script did it while being socially involved during an Era that it was truly groundbreaking. He always held a high standard.
