Not sure what you mean, the Dems didn't do to Feinstein and let her work til the last minute. Sen. Feinstein's last vote was within a day of her passing.

They wrung out last last drop of juice tbh.
They'd learned a cruel lesson when they didn't put RBG on life support.
    tee, hee.

also, still so butthurt over Hillary.
They're gettin' set, if all goes as concocted to have Hillary replace Harris as VP and Harris replace Biden AFTER 1.20.25. Harris will take Biden's second 4, then give way to Clinton for Harris' 1st four, OR, if they want to risk it, wait for Harris' 2nd 4.

I don't mean lawmakers successfully did something, but plenty complained publicly and they tried to replace her on the Judiciary committee. And the punditry were super pissed. She was absent for months which put a stop to confirmation of all judges.

She barely had time to cool down before Newsom appointed Shiffs buddy, the black, female, lesbian from Maryland. Checked all the boxes. That cake was already baked.

Or what if she was qualified? Sometimes you guys point right to the demographic and assume that's the only reason they were chosen for something, which is kind of part of the whole problem in the first place.

Idk how you can argue Newsom’s pick was appointed on merit and not for self serving political reasons.

Well, you would have thought he would have appointed someone that actually lived in California to be the Senator from California

Newsom definitely had an appointment in mind but I don’t get the criticism that he didn’t wait long enough to appoint her. California voters shouldn’t be deprived of senate representation for an extended period of time simply because Feinstein was a selfish who now needs to be honored in her death.

He ed himself when he promised a black woman before realizing that California voters would be pissed if he didn’t pick a holdover who’d vacate the seat in 2024.

Very similar to Biden promising a female VP and then being forced to pick a black female VP due to BLM pressure.

I'm keeping up fine. That promise isn't evidence she's unqualified. You can choose someone from a specific demographic from a pool of qualified individuals. That's how affirmative action worked too, despite protests of supposedly unqualified minorities taking jobs that a small number of only white people could have possibly done.

I guess it depends on what qualifications you're looking for.

Yep, they were mad, they complained, they talked about doing stuff but did nothing. That's how much they cared about getting done, in the end.

This is pretty ignorant of how congressional leadership works. Exactly what were the rank-and-file non-leadership supposed to do?
