gawt dam
talk about playing with fire two innings in a row
Montgomery caught a break on that upper deck bomb that was just foul.
Getting a feeling the Rangers might pull this off.
Chapman in, all a$$holes in DFW have clenched
Wow. I thought the Minute Maid demons came back to haunt Chapman there.
F*ck, Bochy is the baseball zen master...Chapman been stumbling over his all regular season then comes in and is lights out on the road in Baltimore and Houston
LeClerc is basically Neftali Feliz 2.0...similar windup, exact same stuff
Poor plate discipline for Houston swing at dirt balls for that first meatball
Big ball pitches from LeClerc after nearly hitting McCormick twice in a row.
Doesn't bode well if they make the WS tbh.
Impressive showing by Montgomery but Astros almost equalized. Astros still feel confident. 2 ER by Verlander.
Should be juicy series. In both Leagues.
I wouldn’t feel that comfortable if I was Houston. That was a game many, including myself, were penciling in as a likely Astros win with Verlander pitching. Holding the Rangers to 2 runs at home but unable to score off their bullpen and losing wouldn’t make me feel great tbh. Ranger bats were cold from the time off so only a matter of time before they heat up again.
tonight is a must win for Houston before game 3 in South Oklahoma, SW Arkansas, SE Colorado, etc
The Rangers bullpen will be their undoing, either in this series or the next. They’re riding a hot/lucky streak right now, but a Chapman meltdown is imminent, and Leclerc/Sborz will come back down to earth.
Just please beat Houston before the meltdown happens.
ya I agree they’ve been playing with fire with Chapman , gonna bite them in the a$$ eventually. Amazing defense saved his a$$ from blowing both Baltimore and Houston games tbh
of a start for the Rangers.
Yep. Valdez looks awful. Might get a couple more this inning
I can see why Dusty Baker is hated around the league…hearing his mid game interview where he admitted he didn’t know much about Montgomery , he struck me as a typical Affirmative Action hire tbh imho
What I love about the MLB. You're not fully reliant on one or two big stars. Signing DeGrom was the equivalent of the Lakers signing LeBron or an NFL team signing Mahomes. But since the Rangers made so many other great moves, losing DeGrom didn't sink them, and they went from a bottom feeder to a contender in one season. That simply can't happen in the NFL or NBA.
