Andre Miller as an assistant coach. Best lob passer of his generation. Tbh he should tutor Sochan. Was also a bigger, slower pg who used a back to the basket game
I don't disagree. Just saying even a local private school high school coach would have this team playing better than Popa .

Becky makes $1 million/year. She’d get at least 6 times that as an NBA coach.
he’d probably be the first one to say that’s an idiotic statement
Lets see the city wants to build the spurs a new arena where ?
When GrandPop retires, you can be sure that old man Brent Brown will take over!
Two years before they fired him, he coached them to a le, so, probably not the time to fire him. Those mistakes were made after he returned from the funeral in his family for a death that happened during the playoffs. I don’t blame him one bit for sitting out and collecting every bit of cash from them. They did him dirty.
And it's all NBA money.
Avery Johnson. His scowls would be fun to watch.

why would Steve Kerr leave his legend status with Golden State to start over in SA?
Manu said (see his interview with TP) that for now he wants to enjoy family and kids and coaching is not compatible. He is not saying he won't but not untill kids will go to college
Kerr is ass, some of his lineups have been terrible this year
And he keeps starting Klay over better performing players
Is pop ever retiring
He will not be Spurs coach 5 years from right now, but I wouldn't count on him leaving before this 5 year deal is up.
He will be worse if Trump wins his third term as president
He need to get over Tony first
no one here wants Spoelstra? IMO he's the best coach in the league, takes a trash roster to the playoffs every year.
Of course we do but he is not leaving Miami to come here imo
He's not going anywhere. He's in a great situation, with the complete backing of his organization. That's the coaching equivalent of Nirvana. Besides, most top coaches will not want to be 'the guy that replaced Popovich'.
Predict in 100% Pop fashion, he will dictate who replaces him.
Said person will not be what is best for the Spurs, and very possibly continued similar suckage level as himself.
The selection will be all about him.
Now can plenty change between now and 4.5 years from now?
Lets hope so.
He's got a great feel for the game. I always felt he'd be a great coach. But these days you also have to have the player buy-in. Not sure how he good with these young guys, if he'd win them over. Maybe being a slam dunk champ gives him street cred!
