Agree that the shots are more efficient, but they weren't center shots. They weren't even power forward shots. He got them in transition, give and goes and lobs. Since he was getting good shots, he didn't have to settle for bad shots, which he does when they don't move the ball properly.
, his blocks didn't even come from the center position. He knows when to help, when to stay home and when to roam. When his teammates aren't giving up 50 percent from the outside they suddenly look decent, and he looks amazing.
As I have said, the quality of Victor's shots goes up with the number of touches his teammates generate for him. Frankly, the quality of his defense and his passing goes up with it as well.
I don't think they should waste a pick on a backup center either. I'd be fine with a starting center if he was the best player available, though. Just getting a guy who will make it as a pro is a win.
