Who else should have been shooting with Trae and Jalen Johnson both out?

I wonder if, given the way that Dejounte is playing, the Wolves might try and trade for him. Something like Dejounte + Capela for for KAT

Why the Wolves do it: If they flop this year, they're staring down the barrel of a very expensive roster. Naz Reid has played very well in the absence of KAT. Capela's an expiring next season, and they get to change KAT's $55+ million/year salary for Dejounte's $30 million/year salary. Dejounte gets to utilize his size at the PG position next to Ant so he doesn't have to guard the better backcourt player anymore.

Why the Hawks do it: Trae and KAT are a disaster defensively, but they have very few other outs to improve the roster immediately. Trae/Hunter/Johnson/KAT/Okongwu is probably theoretically a playoff team in the east, and may be a better option to Hawk's ownership than either dealing with an unhappy Trae or losing him altogether. However, Hawks ownership is cheap and may not want to pay tax, so that's a big reason they may not do it.

There are rumors the Bucks might want to trade for DJM. I wonder if there's anyway the Spurs could get in on that can get Middleton for a decent price. Khris would fill a huge need on and off the court. The Spurs could probably take some of his contract into cap space, and ATL might want to use the Spurs to get some draft flexibility back anyway.

I’m remembering now all the reasons I was happy for the DJM trade. Let’s not mess it up and bring this guy back.

One thing that gets overlooked with Jones is the impact he has a defense. With Tre on the court, the Spurs have what would be the 13th-best defense. With him on the bench, the defense would be last in the league.

Tre graded out as arguably the team's best defender last year by measures like RAPTOR which no longer exist for this year. By this year's on/offs, it looks like Jones is a defensive positive, Wesley is neutral and Branham is a negative -- which doesn't seem too surprising by the eye-test.

Homeboy took 44 shots, including 19 threes?!?!? Holy cow. Since 1990, that's the 7th highest number of shots in a single game, and outside of Kobe's 50 in 2016, all others game before 2006. https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/mos...ame-since-1990
    the thing is though....

Kirby dead. He suicide/murdered his daughter by forcing that pilot to fly in weather that had grounded the entire LAPD fleet. No more shots for him

He even conceded he wasn’t happy with the efficiency but he was a stone cold killer in OT. Not too many guys can get up 44 shots and still finish that strong when it counted.

Tre was certainly RAPTORed by yellow shoes guy tonight (technically now last night).

Ugh Derrick White just came to us at the wrong time. He would be so perfect with Wemby right now.

Still Derrick >>> Dejounte for me. To me Derrick is about team basketball, while Dejounte is more about his stats
