That is some SERIOUSLY corrupt stat keeping.

FWIW a reddit thread said try here. He says he did and incredibly the NBA rep did write back and a stat did get corrected.

lol to all the sniffers that thought losing 20 in a row in the beginning of the year meant the spurs were blatantly tanking. They’ve put together more wins during this stretch (when they should actually be tanking). All you sniffers had your head up pops ass and defended his godawful coaching.

still thinking the Spurs didn't go into the season being fine with tanking it out

They had quite literally the worst roster in the NBA last season, yet did zero trades to address any of the team's longstanding and glaring issues, while only incorporating a rookie, 19yo bigman. I don't think that has anything to do with Pop's coaching or lack thereof this season; as they often say, tanking is a FO design first and foremost, rather than a coaching or players' actions.

These Spurs are playing much better than they did before, sure. But it's improvement on the curve of a historically bad season. They never had a playoff ceiling to begin with.

They’ve put together more wins during this stretch (when they should actually be tanking)
What? No. That's why you lose 18 in a row early on - so the standings are pretty much set at this point of the season. There's no Wemby to chase this year, so why are you so sure that losing the final games for little material improvement draft-wise, is better than the morale-lifting of a win streak to close out a tough, long year, tbh?

You’re probably one of the idiots who didn’t think we were tanking last year for a generational prospect, either.

Whenever I think the Spurs are a laughable, small-market team, I watch the Jazz.
One of their commercials was advertising an All You Can Eat Buffet of........hotdogs.

The Spurs are quickly entering the 21st century.

Nice win, too. Don't think it matters how many wins they get from here on out.

My heart loves games like this but my mind hates it. I want these guys to develop around Wemby but as soon as we get excited about their development they lay an egg. I fear these wins are going to make the FO trust in them and run it back, only to win 5 more games than this season and Wemby gets even more dejected

Interesting how much value people seem to put on wins late in the season with nothing on the line for either team. It's a crap shoot who brings it that night.

Caught up with the game, finally some solid execution, but don't forget it's against a team blatantly tanking to keep their pick.
Including this loss, Jazz are 3-17 in their last 20. Two of those wins being Spurs and Wizards.

It doesn’t break my heart that OKC will be short one FRP because of it. My dream lottery is that we get pick #1, Houston pulls a miracle by jumping to #4, bumping TOR to #7, and screwing OKC out of a second FRP.
