Life was hard without Spurstalk. I exited my parents basement for the first time in 8 years. I went outside and saw the sun. I even applied to a job. And guess what? They called back and set up an interview. I borrowed my brothers suit and was all ready for the job interview. And while waiting in the lobby of Chik Fila I just checked to see (for the 227th time) if the website was back up and running. And it is!!
Needless to say i didn’t get a job. But it is my pleasure being back here on Spurstalk.

It’s a real plague, over moderated discussion boards. Those who can’t stand for any “negativity.”
The tiny ounce of authority, the irresistible urge for deputies to over police.
When the entire BBS system is designed to self moderate, with the active discussion topics stay at the top and the others fade to the bottom. We don’t need no stinkin’ mods making it their mission in life to bully people online.
Spurs Talk is a magnificent experiment in letting the community moderate itself. The result has been a model for others to follow, IMO.

And deranged folk. I really appreciate the ability to speak freely, but there are mentally disturbed people roaming these boards that make the experience a lot less enjoyable, a minimal amount of moderation would be appreciated as far as I'm concerned.

Some just need a gentle neutering, but some definitely need the loss of thread creation or very limited number of posts per day (for their own well being as they post their gibberish here and other forums).
I haven’t seen anything much more than a few apparent long running feuds between posters flare up occasionally that aren’t particularly interesting. Seems like this community does a nice job of staying on task overall.
It's better than the Low T drama queen teenage girl that happens on other forums when people can't scream at each other and get it out of their systems
We are fortunate that most of the garbage stays in the political forum and doesn't make its way here... but it's pretty horrible there.
I hope the new boards keep it real and don't have any form of censorship because I kinda like Spurstalk being the raw dawg of internet fandom. This site has a reputation to uphold, lol!
