It is embarrassing that a team that is in first place in one division, if it were in another, it would be in last place in another.

The NBA needs realignment. The East is a pitiful pitiful conference. There are maybe 4 good teams in the whole conference and there are maybe 3 bad teams in the West.(Lakers, Golden State, New Orleans)

    It is just awful.

How do you re-align them, Jim?

One of the things I've always liked about the NBA is that their divisions are primarily based on region.

Maybe just get rid of 10-15 teams and start over with a league of 20 teams, then you would have 20 really good teams. The problem is, they keep diluting the talent by making more and more teams. Half the teams should just be blown up IMO.

I think one of the many problems with the Eastern conference teams is that, in recent years, they put use their draft picks to get high school stars, or players that aren't all that good. Kwame Brown, Eddy Curry, Chandler...or they spend every other year getting a new coach.

The majority of Eastern conference FO's have serious problems evaluating talent and developing it.
