castle is telling everybody who will listen that he sees himself as a PG and wants to play PG. didnt see a lot of playmaking from him in college, though i imagine point castle has a better chance of working out than point sochan if we want a supersized defensive PG if we do take castle at 4 i'd...

can you imagine exstatic back then? i wouldnt trade alvin for him. media keeps anointing MJ but he's just a loser. he's 28 years old, league gave him a fake mvp to hype up the "new face" and despite all this and an aging celtics team he hasnt even made the finals once. why is this year going to...

My personal statistically unsupported feeling is that Buz might be kind of soft. This raises a much larger point for me, which is to me a contrast, perhaps a huge contrast, in what type of player the Spurs seek, versus the type of player that will succeed in the Spurs system. Good character people,...

I really think Castle is the right pick at 4. UConn's offense is at least as complex as the Spurs, but, they ran it to perfection. He will have no problem transitioning. His shot will improve, that's his only job. Salaun could be a genius move in 3-5 years. Maybe sooner. Just his presence on the...

If they take Collins instead of Graham im cool with it. The 26 pick is just a swap, so SA still has their own pick in 26 there so not too big of a loss (potentially unless ATL implodes which is possible).

We're not wasting top10 pick on a backup big. Reed will be a great shooter, but there's a chance he ends up being a Patty Mills. He's an undersized shooting guard. Can make some passes, but can't run an offense. Risacher? I'd also like him, but his shooting is not a sure thing. Sarr won't be...

I would be fine with this draft tbh… Replacing Branham/Blake/Graham (who really didn’t get minutes anyways) with Castle + Dillingham is a big upgrade at this point in terms of potential and ceiling. It’s not like drafting Castle with his shooting concerns is any worse than Blakes shooting or...

Soft tank. They are going to use another year to develop their talent and see who they need to cut bait with. For those of you getting triggered at the thought of another losing season you guys have to understand there is a difference between being good for a rookie and being a championship...

That's really where I'm at. If the Spurs come away from this draft with two plus starters on a championship team, I'm really pleased with that outcome. Victor is going to be a monster on offense, what he needs is a team built around him that can amount to a top caliber defense type team, and a few...

When people talk upside in the NBA, they often mean the physical gifts are there but the player doesn't know how to play basketball. Then they hope the player can learn how to play basketball, but they never do. It's like that Arrested Development meme: "People always think it will work for...

We dont need to factor in Blake or Branham IMO. If they make huge leaps and show out in camp fine, but at this point they should be already on chopping block unless they prove they don’t belong there.

Theoretical upside = a player who cannot contribute right away, anytime soon, and whose virtues are not exactly apparent. Theoretical. Every other player discussed can contribute either right away or pretty soon with some success. Reed, Risacher, Clingan, Sarr, even Cody Williams, are going to...

I don't see how in any way it could be a good article for Cohen. I will say the Prosecutions lawyer will be able to redirect on cross. That may soften whatever doubt Trumps liarwyer may have created.

This year was a very injuerd plug year for them, it was not the ordinary for them not making the playoffs, if they don't do this trade with us getting back their pick and going for rebuild, they might elect the other way using the #1 pick in a trade for proven player

Disagree big time. Draft the best player available at 4. Always. You dont draft for position. Then if you fear a PG you like wont be there at 8 you simply make a trade to move up and get him.

I would go easy on Salaun. He's a end of first round pick on a good draft you take a flyer on. It's always a bit annoying when the first thing everyone repeats about a prospect is "He's a hard worker, he'll improve". You can translate it by: Raw, limited, lot of work to do, which is true for...
