East playoffs were a joke with all the injuries, but Celtics were the best team in the league all season long and it wasn't particularly close. They won 64 games and had 23-7 record against Western teams. As a basketball fan, I wanted to see Jokic against hem because he seemed to be the only...

Looking back on the Porzingis trade, it's amazing how little Washington got in return: Tyus Jones, Gallinari, Muscala, and pick #35. Boston got Porzingis and 2 FRPs. It was a daring move by Brad Stevens that has paid off, in part due to good luck. The thing that kept offers low on Porzingis-- who'd...

Nothing should be overexamined from this Finals. Boston had scads of first round picks and a couple turned out. They've made other moves that have been great. But they're in probably the worst conference bracket we've ever seen. They never faced an opponent close to healthy. They got beat by an...

From what I've read, I realistically want Knecht at 8 if we draft a point at 4. Dream realistic draft would be Shepherd and Knecht tbh. Having one rookie ready to contribute right away would be ideal. Then if Spurs do something with free agency eg Pat Williams. Even if Spurs say go with a trade...

Exactly. Then we think about if it's more likely for Sheppard to be a decent enough defender with his lack of size or Castle to become a solid enough shooter.

Basically, the Spurs have an honest shot at getting the two best players in the draft, or at least who are visible right now. Sheppard has great promise, too. Atlanta-Washington are in tight spots because Sarr-Risacher look like those 'safe bets' they have to take, but most likely tap out at...

The Celtics got lucky to get both. White is the quintessential Spur who was only ever traded because it had to be done to get a legit shot at Wembanyama and Holiday only became available because the Bucks were unexpectedly able to pull off a Lillard trade. They can also afford to be secondary...

There is no more such thing as "defensive" and "offensive" players if you want to build a team that can succeed in the playoffs and eventually win a championship. Tony Allen's and Andre Roberson's are extinct. You're either competent at both or you're played off the floor.

It depends on teams like Washington and Detroit recognizing who their best choices actually are. Washington - Risacher ain't it. Not because he's bad, but because he doesn't do anything for them. Another forward to stick in the corner and one who cannot self-create, the way Bilal cannot...

:lmao Either that or the all time great player and core that are conveniently found on virtually every multi time champion. :lmao They're not a dynasty, they benefitted from an all time run of luck (Curry's ankles making him underpaid, an unprecedented cap spike and insecure core/Durant joining...

No. Having another big on the floor just allows the opposition to keep move size on the floor and double Wemby in the paint. Unless that other 7 footer is someone like Markkanen who's actually a wing. Wemby doesn't need muscle, he's at the point where his length advantage is overwhelming enough...

probably back of lottery to mid first. The entire injury thing and his false wingspan is concerning enough that I wonder what else his agent has been fabricating behind the scenes to try and manipulate his draft stock.

the teams that matter are going towards large front court players. You got the young Timberwolves, OKC is looking to add another center, the Mavs got Lively & Gafford, you still Got Embiid in the east another 3-5 years. Wemby isnt ever going to put on 50 lbs of muscle and have a lower center of...

Not a huge fan of the option bc of his personnality and past, but DJ makes a lot more sense when you think of Wemby's playmaking abilities. We might not need a PG that breaks defenses/floor manager but one that can shoot/spread and play pick and rolls, which he can. + Once a Spur he could be...

Maybe I’m too opportunistic, but I’ve seen many say there aren’t rookies that are going to come in and make a difference. We have arguably two of the worst starters in the league in Tre Jones and Julian Champagnie (and I love both of those guys) just not as starters.

BOS is on that SA 2014 trajectory, just a little out of order. SA lost WCF 2012, Finals 2013 and won Finals 2014. BOS lost Finals 2022, lost ECF 2023 and now they seem very determined to not let this one get away. We will see how DAL responds, still a lot of series left. I like BOS in 6

theres no rookie in this draft outside of Cling that is gonna move the needle much for any team right off the bat. How I see things at this point: Pick whoever is there of Sheppard/Castle at #4. Sarr and Risacher seem very likely to be gone by then, and seems fairly likely one of Sheppard/Castle will be gone too. If they’re both there then great, pick whichever you like best (I lean Sheppard). I don’t think...
