Is Steve Kerr overrated? I don't know, but somehow Luke Walton went 39-4 while Kerr was out for health reasons. He failed in 2 years as a full time head coach, was recently assistant in Cleveland and I haven't heard him mentioned as a candidate anywhere else
They're not talked about in the same way because of how they use their athleticism. It's easier to see Holland's athleticism on the court because of how he pressures the rim on offense and disrupts his opponent on D.
The critiques on Holland regarding turnovers is very strange to me.
A 0.90 a/t ratio with a monster usage against pros as an 18 year old and #1 option .... Is pretty damn good
Buzelis has a near identical a/t ratio of 0.89 on about 3/4 the usage getting to play a secondary role and it's...
Dalton Knecht outperformed Holland in every single test at the draft combine-- lane agility, shuttle run, 3/4 sprint, standing vertical, and max vertical leap-- but somehow Holland still retains the label of "uber athlete" while almost nobody uses that terminology for Knecht or others who've so far...
I did consider the pool in this years draft when I wrote that Sheppard isn't a top 4 pick for me. it's the upside question, that will be asked in this draft as much, as in any other draft. I think that teams will go for upside rather than the sure bet on an allegedly role player. this includes the...
The whole of the Ignite season was a disaster.
With Ron, I think the upside is that he started awful, being given entirely too much on ball responsibility for a guy who played PF in High school and needed to transition to a wing style role in the NBA. He still ended up with a negative A:TO...
It is funny how things work out. Imagine Manu coming up today. He would be as hyped as any other prospect in NBA's history. He's literally the perfect guard for today's NBA. And, yeah, he would be a PG in today's NBA.
You struck the template when Trump made President, Blake and took off after him with guns, knives and things...as the old Russia adage attests..."Once the lies start, you can forward in life, but, you may never go back."
Cade >>>>>>>> Ivey
On that same awful team you are talking about, the coach thought Ivey wasn't good enough to start untill management asked him to.
Ivey will be a bench player for years to come, in the best of cases. Cade is a 23 ppg scorer at 22 years of age. It isn't even close.
Cade had played well on a bad team. He's shown improvement for sure, but until he proves he can carry a team through a season without multiple double digit losing streaks, I doubt he'll garner much all star consideration. I'm not saying it's not possible, but it'll be a minute for sure.
