Bassey is still under contract for 2 more seasons. He was great this season before the ACL injury so I don't see the Spurs looking that way unless they worry about his knees long term.

If Castle or Sheppard are available at 4, its going to be a real hard decision....either pick would be good. However I would bet that both are gone by pick 8. Castle & Sheppard would be 2 great picks, if the draft breaks the spurs way. :lobt2:

unfortunately I see a good chance that this could happen. In this case I would reach for Cody at 4. why? you push one more guard down and I don‘t see Pistons and Blazers pick a guard. Hornets might take Sheppard, but there is still a chance that they take Clingan, because of the back problems of...

I Think their hand will be forced within the calendar year on Trae. Next summer, he becomes a one year rental (26 opt out), and his price drops sharply. They really need to trade him sometime hetween the draft and the trade deadline.

The right wing is about to eat the liberals' lunch -- hell, conservatives have been eating liberals' lunch politically for ~25 years. With the procedural GOP Supreme Court coup and revocation of rights to women, the clock's already been dialed back ~50 years and can lock in decades more with a...

Need that little Keaton Mitchell back at 100%. Really sucked when he went down last season. He would supplement a healthy Henry greatly. Was scampering 8.4 yards a carry. What are you hearing about Mitchells recovery? Torn ACL on Dec 17th. :depressed

Interesting that every team remaining, outside of Indy, is a hybrid model with a star (Doncic) or a stars (Ant/KAT, Tatum/Brown) supplemented by significant acquisitions (Irving, Gobert, KP). Indy is interested because their two best players were both trade acquisitions, but they have a lot of...

IIRC, the proposal was only for one of the picks and we got #20 back. I agree both lotto picks plus Keldon and Tre is too much for this team to pay for Garland. Would rather just add the two rookies and sign Malik Monk.

Was thinking about this thread when I noticed that the models of "building slowly through the draft" mentioned several times in this thread (OKC and Orlando) are home right now. OKC still hasn't won shit.

Actually like picking Sheppard at #4. Don't need a strong or traditional playmaking PG with Wemby already looking like he can be the hub on offense. What the Spurs do need though is someone who can shoot the 3 reliably. They are bottom 5 in the league in 3 pt shooting despite being above average in...

Yeah I only follow loosely. Knowing that he didn’t like playing alongside Mitchell had me half expecting that he would have put the team on his shoulders in the playoffs with Mitchell out. He kinda shit the bed there. That wasn’t a good look.

Ultimately, they are screwed... we've got them in a position where the best thing they can do for the franchise is makes moves that help us. Assuming we aren't a trade partner they only have two options, 1) Trade players for other players and remain a lower-mid team or 2) trade Trae/DJ etc for as...

People need to understand that 2025 draft is going to be so important to this franchise in either just being a Playoff team VS. an actual Championship team. The difference will be determined by getting either a top 4 pick or two top 10 picks where we can legitimately get two starting players for a...

Regardless, Kim needed to hack hand and ball at the :25 mark. He had a clear target. Just guessed wrong. History. Well mmmaybe Indy can semi shock and come back like they did against NY down 0-2. Without Haliburton, don't think so.

:25 second mark I'm not sure Kim didn't foul him. Looks like he got zero ball (guessed wrong) and swatted Brown on the hand. Next watch Kim do the Dindu Nuffin with his hands. Good no call. Of course if that is Steffi or Gaymond we're talking automatic foul call. But ya that game 1 it seemed...

I am so glad this is a weak draft class because with the number 1 pick this year I don't think it's going to help them short term as far as winning nor do I think they will get much in trading that pick. The Hawks are really screwed for the next 3 years owing us there picks so what they need to do...

Moving Tre, Keldon, and two lottery picks for Garland + 20 is a bit steep IMO, especially when Cleveland is a motivated seller on Garland with how bad a fit he is next to Mitchell. Only worth it if you think he's an allstar here. Otherwise I'd rather roll the dice on Dillingham and hope to put 15...

Reed doesn't have length, but from the number of blocks and steals, he clearly has quick reactions and hands. Wingspan is one tool, hand speed and reflexes are another. I'm a fan as I think he has outs to be someone like Haliburton (the book coming out of the draft on Hali was a great, careful...

At the same time, CLE probably isn't too excited about bringing on a #4 pick. I think Garland to the Spurs only really works in a 3-team deal where CLE gets a useful player and the draft capital goes elsewhere. The 3-way deal with NO that I think TD 21 posted seems to be the best I've seen thus far.

It's league wide standings for draft lottery position, though, right? League wide I expect Atlanta to be bottom 8.

There is no way the Spurs agree to any agent ultimatums (ie, no two-way contract for bronny). There is zero chance he ends up with the spurs.

Atlanta should quit the Trae Young business asap in a vacuum. They tried Murray to get Young off ball. He didn't go for it. Nothing left to explore other than continued mediocrity. But we have their picks and the East is still kinda weak compared to the West so probably a play in team next year but...
