If the Spurs don’t select either of Risascher or Salaun, I’ll be disappointed. A great opportunity to get size and shooting on the wing, a desperately needed perimeter defender

Trae is making 43, 45, 48M the next 3 years and spurs players are getting paid anyway. But if you prefer giving 48M to Vassel (29M) + Keldon (19M) instead. I don't.

Rotational "homegrown" players . . . Timberwolves: Towns, Reid, McLaughlin (fringe), Edwards, McDaniels Thunder: Dort, Giddey, Wiggins, (Jalen), Williams, (Jaylin) Williams, Holmgren, Wallace Nuggets: Jokic, Murray, Porter Jr., Braun, Watson I'm not advocating for this approach, I'm just...

McCollum is overrated, but he'd be a good fit as a stop gap . . . Hawks receive: Ingram, Graham, moderate draft capital from Pelicans Pelicans receive: Murray, Okongwu, minor draft capital from Spurs Spurs receive: McCollum

Vassell needs to cut down on the chucking and work on being a better playmaker. His overall defense needs improvement too. At best, best he'll be a fringe all-star level guy or a great off the bench player. He's not at all an elite or a player teams will be focusing on trying to stop.

Not so sure about "homegrown talent". MINNY sold the farm for Gobert and OKC got their main star by trade too, then Denver lucked into Jokic in the second round, which you should'nt really bet on every year, right :) I beleive it shows taking risks and not entirely building through the draft...

Bosh was a top 15 player at his peak, Davis was a top 5 player at his. His talent isn't wasted, it's just not meant to be the hub of a championship offense. He's more finisher (Robinson, Garnett) than creator (Olajuwon, Duncan).

Neither was starting two non floor spacing centers (well, rarely). Different time. The game now is target ball, where small, frail guards and led footed bigs are always prime hunting ground. That doesn't mean you can't win with them though. Everything is contextual. The Celtics, for...

Or you might not (probability is you won't) and you lost another year of Wemby with two more rookies to develop on your team for years... Do we really want to see Wemby and the spurs finish bottom 3 next year again with awful, painful to watch basketball? Victor is sure not gonna let that...

The problem in basketball has never been size, but defense and scoring ability. And this, at any position. This permanent desire in the NBA to favor tall PG is only of interest in one perspective: for equal value, it is assumed that a tall player will ultimately be more effective than a smaller...

Yay! Another wait 2 to 3 years post from the sniffers. And this one is a doozy since Vassell literally isn’t better than Halliburton at one thing. Halliburton is a better shooter, a better dribbler, a better passer, better creator for himself and others, a better finisher, he can run a pick n roll...

This embarrassing showing by the Pelicans this year has me wondering if they're going to consider a major move this offseason. In theory a Pelicans-Hawks trade with the Pels giving up Ingram for Dejounte Murray/OO potentially works. Pelicans roll out Dejounte-TMIII-Herb-Zion-OO for lots of...

Idk why there has to be a conceived who’s better argument, both players have developed nicely for their teams, both players getting picked at 11 and 12 have developed into a 20 ppg wing and an all star PG. That is a win for both teams they’re on.

You're not contradicting yourself, you're just missing the point and creating some wrong narratives. While it would obviously be better to get the next Magic or even Jokic, that's not going to happen. We're one of the worst teams in the league and ther's a long way between current situation...

Unless you have Steph's incredible shooting skills, you're exposed as short, leading guard in the POs. none of these guys will get to the finals this year, if ever as a top dog... This is officially the House Flipper draft. Develop whoever they get just enough, and use him in a trade later — “the DJ” if you will. Yikes at the idea of picking Dillingham at 1. Ouch.

Dilly has zero NBA games and we do'nt even know if he'll ever be a legit, productive NBA player. Trae Young is a proven 3 time all star, 1 time All NBA Team who averaged 25pt-10ass this season on 37% 3pt shooting... I believe the risk is way much bigger, specially with Wemby waiting for help,...
