Lot of disagreement about how much Landry is worth. He has one of the highest PER's of any rookies with 21.56 He is ranked 20th on the PER list sandwiched between Gasol, D-Wade and Steve Nash,Carmelo Anthony. Lot of fans think he's worth about 2 million but I think he's worth the full MLE. Lakers think he's a good compliment to their front line. If you stretched his playing time out to 40 minutes, he'd be averaging 19.1 ppg and 11.3 RPG. Bear in mind that they don't really run any plays for him either as a rookie. He's been putting up these numbers cleaning up the boards.
What do you guys think he's worth as a restricted free agent?

He still has to prove he can stay healthy. 3 years 6 million is fair.

I take it back. That is beyond fair.

I am a bit worried that since he's a restricted free agent, that the Spurs or the Lakers or any Western contender would take him and offer him a huge contract.

I dunno, I am hearing rumblings of letting him walk if it costs too much. Any teams out there willing to offer the MLE for him? plus a big balloon payment into the 4th year?

Matt Bonner would have averaged 17 and 10 last season if he played 40 minutes.

lol nice try but Bonner can't light a candle to Scola or Landry.

Ladnry can't make more than Cardinal. Cardinal is making $6.3 million next season. The MLE probably won't even be that much for next season. Using an extremely overpaid role player as the standard for Landry's negotiations does not make sense. Cardinal makes way more than a lot of players that are better than him.

Matt Bonner sucks, and if he played forty a game we wouldn't make the playoffs. Double Double....-:lmao

3year 9 mil, last year should include a player option as insurance incase he regresses, and option to make more money if he improves and becomes a clear cut MLE or more player.

Perhaps the Spurs should offer the full MLE just to fuck with the Rockets?

I am sure Landry would appreciate that very much. Not sure the Rockets would but then it would be like poetic justice since we scammed Scola away and stole your draft pick this year ;)

They wouldn't do that only because it would possibly hold up other transactions they may be attempting. There is only a limited amount of money to spread around.

I would welcome that!
Landry's not worth that much.
let the Spurm's waste their precious cap money on him.

Landry on the Spurs would be like my worst nightmare. That would suck. A front line of Bowen, Landry, Duncan, and Mahinmi. No thank you.

I would imagine Scola actually playing for the Spurm's would be higher on your nightmare list...however, I digress.

yeah that would not be good either. Had the Spurs brought Scola over and had Duncan at Center and Scola at PF with Bowen at SF with Parker and Ginobili at guards they probably would have won it all. But oh well.
