Are what Spurs need , is the solution, DeSagana Diop for example.
Spurs lack of strong men in the paint, and of course, younger.

Thomas and Mahinmi would take care of that.

Still need 1 more. I'm not talking Oberto sized, i'm talking Camby sized.

Of course those just grow on trees around the NBA, especially for MLE or less money like what the Spurs have.

The thing is there's not many Cambys out there.

Sad but true, the only player close is O'Bryant. i'm not high on O'B. I really wanted us to address this in the draft, take a chance on someone but that is gone now. We'll see, hope for the best.
all this interest for "strong men" is kind of suspicious...^^

Hi again,
Most of you , are talking about Mahinmi and Thomas, but in my opinion, neither of them are centers, and Duncan is alone most of games playing in that position.
Spurs should wave Oberto, Horry and Bonner and try with Diop or someone like him. I like him cause he's strong and 7.0 ft
Bye :flag:

I prefer someone projected to score more than 3 points a game in his career. Talk about Duncan's being all alone....

Wave? *puts hand in air, waves at Oberto, Horry, and Bonner*
They don't have to waive Horry, because he's already a free agent.
Waiving Oberto and Bonner would hurt them in money situations. No one will pick up Bonner or Oberto off of waivers. Think wisely.

thomas and ian might help during the season..but come PO time they will both be exposed...kurt is to short, and ian has 0 experience...id look for some other bigger center who can rebound....
Thomas and Mahinmi would take care of that.

The possibilities that George Hill might turn out to be a steal and that the Baron opt-out might lead to the Spurs landing Maggette are both reasons for optimism, but I think they could still use one more big body to deal with Bynum/Gasol and Oden/Aldridge.

Diop is going to garner more than he's worth on the market, because there aren't a lot of shot blocking 7-footers out there. If you want Diop, kiss most of your MLE goodbye, especially any chance at Maggette or any other significant free agent (Posey, etc.)
