Not a big deal. He is under contract next year and then after that, he's restricted. Meaning the Lakers hold all the cards for now and for next year. If he plays well next season and stays healthy he will get the max contract he wants. Until then, the Lakers will sit tight on contract negotiations.

Thats right no need 2 worry at all plus it seems that Bynums agent is seeking that contract not Bynum if he would wanted 2 he will tell the Lakers by himself he wanted the Max.
* Plus Bynum or No Bynum we Owned the Spurs in 5 just imagine with Bynum = sweep

It's ok, Bynum will extend for the minimum.
Imagine if he actually lived up to the retarded hype.

Big deal, faker-boy. Your team didn't finish the job...the Spurs want titles, not Western Conference championships. There was only one winner last year, and it wasn't your team either, son. :lmao

Coach Wooden said that Bynum is the best low post defender since Robert Horry. :lmao
I'll worry about Bynum when he does something. Otherwise, Bynum = :sleep

I agree, half a season does not denote a max contract. Bynum needs to stay healthy for a year and produce at a high rate to even think about a max contract. Even then it would be awarded mostly on the potential that he'll be great.

Don't get why this is big news to you all. Bynum's AGENT is the one who wants to get maximum money for Bynum. Isn't that what agents are supposed to do?
If you bothered to read the article you would have noticed that Bynum himself said he would be willing to sign for less than the maximum value so long as he felt he was treated fairly. Of course most people only look at headlines and go from there so I shouldn't be surprised.

I don't have a good feeling about Bynum. I don't think he's a guy you'd want in the locker room. He's still young, sure, but he seems like a headcase, judging by some of the stuff I've seen him do, and headcases are usually always headcases. If I'm LA I trade him for Kaman. He does what Bynum does and more and is a good guy for the locker room.

to me hes worth 10 mil with a 10% increase, the max is way overpaying.
