Man, there's a flurry of players rumored to wind up with the Spurs next year. Which one do you think is most likely?

I hope Jarvis Hayes...he fit in Pistons so I think he will be ok in Spurs...

Probably Pietrus.

Oh, and there is no way in hell that Ben Gordon comes here. The only one reporting that the Spurs have interest in him is Hoopsworld, and they're retarded.

I wouldn't have thought so either, except that when you start to crunch the numbers, it looks like he won't be able to command as much money as he had gambled on being able to get when he turned down the Bulls' offer. But maybe Orlando or Philly will pick him up for more than the MLE.

Childress, Delfino or that PG from Wizards forgot his name (not arenas :D)

oh, and JR is still way overrated here!

Roger Mason.
And I'm with you on JR Smith, I predict he winds up in Pop's doghouse within months if he comes here. He's exactly the kind of player who tends to fail in Pop's system: Not very coachable, known for being a knucklehead.

I hope the Spurs find some way to get Maggette or Smith and make it work. But I just don't see it happening. We'll probably have more of an Udoka style signing.

It will be Pietrus.... forget about JR, Maggette or any other big name...

I'd like to see Magette winding up here but I guess it's gonna be Pietrus (UFA + lower salary).

I'd like to believe the Maggette story but I think someone like Pietrus or Azubuike comes here instead.

I want Maggette or Smith, but I voted someone else. You just don't know what players will do these days when money is thrown at them.

I voted for "someone else" and here is my explanation for doing so:

It is quite likely that the Spurs will sign someone, but the odds are that it will not be Maggette, Smith or Gordon. Therefore "someone else" is most likely to wind up with the Spurs.

NOBODY!!! Now that we have to probably wait til like July 10th before Maggette makes a decision... We will miss out on everyone and be left with scrubs...

Maggette would be a great surprise, but Pietrus is still the odds-on favorite, being both unrestricted and about right for salary expectations.

Predictions:
*JR Smith won't choose the Spurs. Not gangsta enough.
*Gomes signs with either Minnesota, Utah, or Boston.
*Ben Gordon will never again be offered a deal like Chicago's from last year, 5 years, 50 million. Ever.
*Delfino will sign with Spurs for LLE.
*Hairston & Hill make the team. Gist assigned to Austin.
*Spurs sign an inexpensive big from this group: Andre Brown, Kwame, Brian Skinner, Earl Barron, Rod Benson, Elson, Foyle.

Parker, Mahinmi, and Pietrus can talk about all things French. Manu, Oberto, and Delfino can talk about all things Argentine (Argentinian?).
Home sweet home.

:lol

It's interesting how many people seem to confuse "who I hope" with "who is most likely".

The Celts want him too. I'm pretty sure the Celts will get him if they aren't able to keep Posey.
