Nothing like little quizzes which tests virtually nothing other than who knows the most facts about events, at least with history.

A better 'quiz' would be the following:

Who was the youngest general of the American Civil War?

What was the primary cause of the American Civil War and explain your response in detail.

The stock market crash of 1929 was superseded by what event(s) and why were they significant to the stock market crash and subsequent Great Depression.

Following World War II, the United States entered into a culture of consumerism. What were some of the important aspects of this period from the end of the Second World War through the 1950s.

Describe the differences between English, French and Spanish interactions with Native Americans.

What was the most significant role of smallpox in America from colonial times through the American Revolution.

That would be a much cooler 'quiz'

More of a test, really, than a quiz. I don't disagree that it would be a much more accurate gauge of someone's knowledge of, and ability to interact with, a particular subject, but "quiz" says light and easy to me.
