Just FYI ... The Spurs made the pick FOR Phoenix. The trade took place before the Spurs made their pick and the Suns asked them to pick Dragic. The Spurs never wanted Dragic. It's a Barbosa situation.

If the Suns get Dragic to come over right away that's going to suck. Outside of Devin Harris, Dragic is one of the few players in the world who I've seen be able to stay in front of Parker. His offense is really raw but his defense is top notch.

It'd also suck considering how everyone seems to be able to get their international players to come over ............... except for the Spurs.

Partly bad luck but probably also because the Spurs are against hard sells. For example, no way would the Spurs promise Splitter a starting spot or even guaranteed minutes. Every other team in the league would be promising the world just to get Splitter to sign on the dotted line. The Spurs don't work that way so when a player is making money where they are, the Spurs aren't going to use all means necessary and give the player false hope to make him cross the pond.

"All means necessary" = lie. That's exactly what Spanoulis said happened to him in Houston. Part of the reason why he returned to Greece.
