The government just wanted their money.
That was the only reason for the lawsuit.

I hope Seattle gets a new Sonics team and Durant and Green decide to sign with them when their rookie contracts expire. That would serve Bennett and his buddy Stern well.

A liar? I don't think it was ever a secret that he wanted to move the team. Sure he said the politically correct thing at the time...but it's not like this came to a surprise to anyone.

There is NO way the NBA would have approved a move if Seattle had stepped up and taken care of the Sonics like they did their other two teams. Seattle F'd up, tried to play hardball, and lost.
Oh, and Sonics fans? This is what you get for cheering Tim going down with his ankle in the 2005 playoffs. F You.

Does that mean they'll play in the South West Div.?
It'd be nice to have Seattle and not say... Utah.

Utah's not in the SW.
Houston
Dallas
SA
New Orleans
Memphis
Memphis is already the furthest east tem in the Western Conference.

Um, Seattle and Utah are both currently in the NW division. The probably won't change it since that division is already scattered to hell and back, timezone-wise (Portland/Seattle - PST Utah/Denver - MST Minny - CST).

This is fucking ridiculous. It's to the point where owners of pro sports teams expect the public to pay for their arenas. I know of no other business that expects the public to pay for their accomodations. I remember the days of Downtown Freddy Brown, Slick Watts, DJ, Gus Williams and Jack Sikma. Sonics fans are hard-core fans. They deserve better than this.

That's the game as it's played. If you fold your hand, you get dealt out.

Well, they shouldn't have built the new baseball and football stadiums, then.
