As of now, Microsoft says it will stop making any new copies of XP, and allow current copies to sell out. (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=92022146&ft=2&f=1095)
Time to stock up on licenses. I will make a bet that if you buy a new computer or two with XP on it right now, that in a year or so, you can make a tidy profit reselling them. I may sink some cash into doing just that.
If you haven't had the distinctly shitty experience of using Vista and having to relearn everything about Word, Excel and how to use a computer that you know, get ready to curse Microsoft from the rooftops when you do.
