POP, It's our team policy not to discuss trade rumors (or something like that)...

Maybe someone who doesn't mind emailing [email protected] could copy and paste some of the good questions found here...all in 1 email.

Is Rasho Nesterovic ready to come off IR? Is Sean Marks going back onto IR, if so?

You seemed to go "small" against the Suns in the 4th quarter and OT, and again against the Sonics when Radmanovic was in. Do you see that as something you will likely go to more and more as a way of countering teams with good-shooting forwards?

I missed hearing most of it. If Kori or timvp could post it, that would be good....as long as it has some decent content to it.

It sounded more like Don H. asking all the questons, and about 4 or 5 callers asking a ? to POP.

Rasho won't play tommorow

Interesting. I hope he didn't have any setback, as he was expected to play.

Rasho won't play tommorow

Will he still come out of I.R. if they think he will only miss 1 or 2 games or stay out another 5 games

Will he still come out of I.R. if they think he will only miss 1 or 2 games or stay out another 5 gamessince he has already sat out the manditory 5 games the Spurs can take him off the IR any time they want.

is the 5-game IR rule a minimum only? once on IR, he can be extended/activated at any time after the 5-game rule?

I'm not surprised his ankle isn't 100% when moving to the side.

Let him recuperate more, and tape his ankles extremely well.

Pop was quite evasive about Mailk, skating right past it with "Robert's playing better, he get the minutes" without commenting on Malik's play directly.

And regarding the AS Game, he promised not to tank the Laker game just so he doesn't have to be the AS coach, and he said if he does coach, he will just close his eyes and not expect them to play D.

Oh, yeah--when Harris said something about how it would be good to have Manu in the AS game, Pop said it would be a great honor, but it would also be great if he could use the time to rest. When Harris said that the fans would enjoy Manu's playing, Pop said, "Yeah, if someone plays him." I took that to mean that if he does coach and Manu makes the team, he won't play Manu big minutes.

He's got to let manu play just as long as he lets all the other guys play.

Manu would kill him.

Thanks, Kori.

Also, thanks to "George" for asking the question about going with the small lineup. Pop confirmed that he surrounded Tim with 4 smaller players against PHX and Seattle and that in some ways that provides the Spurs with their best scoring and ball-handling group. It sounded like the Spurs look to do that some more this season.

At least a couple of questions came from this Forum today.

Can't believe nobody asked about the Malik/Marshall trade or who would be put in the IL when Rasho comes back. :(

Sent in just now as a "suck up and maybe he will answer type"

Pop:

I have the greatest respect for you, met you years ago, and now teach at Malik Rose’s old school, Drexel after years of living in SA back in my Army days.

Can you give an update on when and if he will get back on the court, recognizing you most likely cannot be too specific, but he has not had any playing time since the “shirt” thing.

That being said if you are working on a trade, so be it, it might be helpful for both parties if the right player gotten in return.

What exactly, I know you cannot be specific with names, could help conceptually a 37 and 10 team? (To me the obvious is a tall, defender for the McGrady’s, Dirk’s etc.)

Highest regards always from one of your teams and your's most devoted fans! Keep up your great work on the classiest team in all of sports.
