I thought it's their intention to get one of the Josh's. Offer Smith the big contract, if they match, they'll offer Childress a large contract. I believe this leaves Phillies money tied up. So, I'd say Philly is tied up.

But if the Warriors were to come up empty, they conceivably could turn their attention to Atlanta Hawks' Josh Smith or even Andre Iguodala of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Rob Pelinka, Iguodala's agent, indicated that there had been interest shown in his client other than by the Sixers, but declined to be specific; he did say he expected to meet with Sixers president/general manager Eddie Stefanski within the next week to 10 days.

Stefanski has said all along that his plan includes re-signing Iguodala and Lou Williams, the Sixers' two restricted free agents. Those developments, though, would come after a move to add an impact player to the roster, whether in free agency or in trade.

I'm fairly certain that as long as they sign the FA before they AI, they can use all the money under the cap. They can go over the cap matching an offer sheet, since AI is their own RFA. If they sign AI first and the contract takes them to, or over the cap then they are limited to the MLE.

I think the Warriors would be best served to trade Harrington for Hinirich; play Ellis at the two; resign Azubuike; offer Iggy and Smith big contracts in the 12 to 15 million range, hoping to land one of the two.

They'd return a team of Hinirich, Ellis, Smith, Wright and Biedrins, with a good bench. That's not bad. It's about as good as they have right now.

Smith and Iggy are both better players than Maggette.

From a Spurs perspective, I think this would also be best for us.
