I got the following message whenever I try to go on a website through Internet explorer.
DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK.

//free-viruscan.com/id/4912933/4/1/

It asks me to run or save this "Internet Explorer Anti-Virus program" and it won't let me visit other websites without doing this. I was only able to log on luckily because I just happened to have downloaded Firefox today. Does anyone know how I can debug this virus on my Internet Explorer??

:( Have I mentioned I hate computers....

Do you already have an anti virus installed? If so update it and do a full scan, it'll take a little while depending on how much junk you have like pics/files/programs and such.

I do have antivirus installed and I did the scan and it didn't find anything. I the virus is on my IE and what happens is it won't let me go on the web until I download that file the virus is telling me to download and I know once I do, it's going to corrupt my entire computer....I think it's one of those viruses you have to actually download or run the "program" and it will corrupt ur computer.

I wouldn't pay for that. Before paying a penny I'd just re-install the entire system, but that shouldn't be necessary. Have you tried a malware removal program? I don't use any (and I haven't experienced your problem) so I can't recommend one, but here's a google search (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=free-viruscan.com+remove&btnG=Google+Search) that may help finding one.

Just hit CTRL+ALT+DELETE and wait till the windows task manager pops up.

Then select the tab "Applications" and select "IE AntiVirus- Windows Internet Explorer" from the text line. Press the "End Task" button and another window will popup. Again press "End Task" button and that's it.

:lol That was the first thing I did. It doesn't help. Next time I log onto IE the same thing pops up.

I don't know, I don't want to try downloading anything else. I downloaded that spyware doctor link that Sense sent, but then it says it found the viruses but I have to pay $$$ for it and now it won't let me UNINSTALL the damn thing.

I think I may just take it to the Dell people and have them fix it. I'd rather spend my $$$ letting them do it then me paying for all these antisoftware programs online which I really don't know anything about.

I looked at it and saw that it looks legit, just one of those small files that you download real quick, run, and then delete. You may end up paying more getting it fixed by the Dell people. But, to each their own.

try getting it off a torrent.... or a key if it asks for it..

sorry didn't really download the software... I just looked at the link and copied and pasted..

I'm sure theres an easy way out of it... you just have to get it off a torrent or a key gen/crack

Download and use FireFox.

:lmao That's what I ended up doing luckily. But I got IE to get fixed.

I'm getting used to Firefox. I've used IE my whole life so this gets a little getting used to. But I can now see why people like it better.

My computer slowed waaaaay down and the harddrive was in overdrive. I looked up some stuff and using this it got my computer running like a top. It's all free. Donations welcome.
