Okay take it however you want, I was just trying to start up some reasonable conversation. I guess you're just too sensitive to try to bury the hatchet.

I believe Argentina's reign in the Olympics is just about over since they're beginning to age and their only young good player is Carlos Delfino, and Lithuania shouldn't provide much of a problem since they don't have a very deep bench, so I believe Spain will provide the most problems for USA. I mean, damn, look at that roster: the Gasols, Fernandez, Lopez, Carlos Navarro, Calderon, Garbajosa, Claver, and the one who will shine the most IMO, Ricky Rubio.

I don't follow international basketball much at all, but from I read, I'm guessing Spain and Greece. If Germany had better perimeter players, Dirk and Kaman could present some problems too since the USA doesn't have much meat in the front line past Dwight Howard. I think Argentina could still be very good because they have a solid team all around and have good big men, although Manu's health and participation will probably dictate how deep they can go.

And, with all the talent France appears to have, I would think they could make some noise. Parker, Pietrus brothers, Diaw, Turiaf, Petro, Batum... don't all of those guys play for France? They have elite athleticism and size. I would think they could do well. Have they qualified?

Nobody can stop USA this year. I expect total domination by your team. Teams that gave you troube in the past are over the hill and new ones haven't arrived yet.

Argentina, with their experience and leadership, will no back down from the U.S
I say Manu gets in Kobe's mind once again.

Spain's aerial strike cannot and will not be contained. Calde, rodri, and bomba hitting the target at will. (they play the best zone D)

The Soviet Union's toughness will prove victorious, and if for some reason the U.S match their toughness, expect the refs to call the game in favor of the soviet comrades.
( the prime minister Putin will be cheering on from the stands)

Team Yao will show why he is the best center in the game by battering the enemy's frontline.

Greece(via late entry) will be the last line of defence in preventing the U.S from restoring order. If we should all fail...... may god be with us.

I know. They were the FIBA gold medal champs. Iran isn't even in our group anyways.

Argentina will be there. Spain also. And there's always a surprise team or two after the first round. We'll see who it is this time around.
