Who's the standup comedian from the 80s who used to act like John Wayne? He'd always say something like "here's a joke for you" while punching the air with the mic in his hand, and he always talked about how he picked up women by licking his eyebrow when he first stepped into a bar. He was dirty as fuck. Another one of his jokes went something like... "How do you know when you're eating good pussy? ... When you come up and your face looks like a glazed donut."

Nah, it's not Dice. This guy was funny, but nowhere close to Dice. I remember the dude I'm thinking of wearing cowboy hats in some of his shows. Fuck, I wish I could figure out who this dude is.

It was 1986 or 85 I had a joke I said at the comedy club off Dezevala rd about a Mc Donald's happy meal for child molesters,

inside the bag was crotchless diaper. Another comic said Captain R wanted to buy it for 50.00 dollars. (the going rate back then) I said no, and he used it anyway. :lmao

I said No because I thought it was to sick to use. Apparently I had never seen his show.

Kinison, Dangerfield, Clay

The only ones where I've missed part of the show because I was laughing so freaking hard.

That's not who I'm thinking of either. I know my descriptions are pretty vague though, and I don't expect anyone to know who I'm talking about. Thanks anyways though.

Agreed with TPark on Dice. Funny bit of trivia about Dice: his Little Miss Muffet nursey rhyme ('Hey, what's in the bowl, bitch') was bit from a Parliament song. I think it was off their first album (Osmium).

Lewis Black is funny, but his repetitive "the president is dumb" gets old after the 900th time he says it.

Yeah, we got it the first time, we laughed at the first example. Move on.

The definition of funny has really evolved. I think a good majority of the guys doing stand up now pretty much suck. I'm not saying old school is the way to go but the guys who really make a difference and truely define this generation of funny are the ones that can tell a story not a joke. Just like everything else the general public needs more.

Guys like Rogan, Cook and necks are just plain aweful. Simpletons enjoy them for their lack of depth and with a guy like Rogan its a lack of passion and the ability to deliver in a believable manner. There are many others just like that and thats why the era is so watered down.

The bit he did where he had some guy in the audience dial up the ex who broke his heart and let him berate the bitch on stage was classic.

He did one on an HBO special, but the chick wasn't home, so he ripped her roommate a new one instead. Gold. Pure comedy gold.

Oh, and I forgot Bobcat Goldthwait on my list of still kicking faves. If you haven't seen his stand-up, you are missing out. Dude is 100 times funnier onstage than in the movies.

Story of my early love-life as told by Rodney Dangerfield:

"The other day a girl called me up and she said 'Come on over...there's nobody home!' I went over...there was nobody home!"
