Spurs need to throw this guy some bones or get rid of him. They must not believe in any kind of off season PR whatsoever.

McDonald was a rookie last year as the Spurs' beat writer. He's not a rookie this season. There is time for him to come-correct and do his own investigative reporting. He is just off to a very bad start in his sophomore season. Work your relationships, Jeff, and be resourceful. Most of all, work at it son!

Maybe the Spurs have already gotten a commitment from someone. I'd just as soon hear it from Jeff instead of Jeff reporting what Marc Stein is reporting.
