Won't happen....

Spurs will probably sign at least someone like Roger Mason, especially if Barry bolts.

It might not be JR Smith, but the Spurs will infuse SOME new blood.

That's why there's a draft.

Back away from the cliff. The Spurs are right back where they started the summer.

Get a diamond in the rough. That's where the talent evaluators in the FO of any team that wants to have continued and sustaining success have to earn their money, when they can't get the guys they target. Find guys that will eventually become very good if not great players that aren't no-brainer acquisitions.

It could be worse: You could be a Golden State fan or live in Seattle.

I'd love to see 'em sneak a FA Euro over who eluded the draft a few years ago and fell from the radar. I just don't know who it is/would be.

:wakeup If no one wants to come to the Spurs then 1. we should just sign all of our draft picks and let them develop 2. Put Mahinmi on the active roster 3. If its all possible let's get rid of Bonner & Vaughn.4. Retire Horry, Finley, Barry, Stoudamire, Johnson 5. Call it an offseason and start preparing to win our 5th :lobt2:

Just offer the MLE to Vujacic so we can sign Barry.

Barry is better than him anyway, that would be a great deal for us.

Barry isn't getting more than the LLE.

The fact that you think you're getting Posey is funny enough.

Not nearly as funny as you Spur fans thinking you were gonna get Maggette. It was priceless watching the whole deck of cards fall down. I knew it would too.

Yeah, numerous articles stating SA was a front runner, too bad we're not hardcore cynics, enough to always call the glass half empty.

Though there were many cautioning the signing as a long shot, many doubters, many many just hoping it happened.

But if that brings happiness to your life, well, your mother succeeded in bringing in a worthless human being into this world.

You had better worry about your own deck...Vujacic needs to be re-signed, Turiaf as well, an un-proven (injury wise) young center in Bynum wants a max money contract that you might not have the money for and you still have Kobe to appease...

Back away from the cliff. The Spurs are right back where they started the summer.

Which wasn't enough as it was. Then a sub-par draft. Then whiffing on FA.

The draft was sub-par because they needed at least a triple. They got a single, maybe a double. FA they're striking out. They could wind up another off-season signing the equivalent of Ime Udoka again.

Not enough. Off-seasons are where championships are won. The window is closing.

The good news as of this moment is that Boston, Detroit, the Lakers, and the Hornets haven't secured anyone either.

oh well......if noone of real stature comes then, we put on our uniforms and play anyway....ask me why they wont come and ill tell ya......our system, and the people who run our system......phil runs the triangle, pop runs and yells....both are effective, both got thrown out last season.....trust me on this.......if cory woulda come here....he woulda started a trend of players getting hurt....i know that sounds crazy, but look at the guys legs not his numbers, look at how much time he has spent on the bench healing with his other superstar players who are dashing out of la clips....there are a bunch of teams out there being played for suckers......i for one am happy so far we aint one of them....

Hopefully, getting George Hill will raise the draft to a B+. FA'cy is just starting. Geez, if Manu had been 90% we would have saved the Lakers the trouble of embarrassing themselves in the Finals like Dallas did. that team has never been the same! If healthy we matched up much better than LA. Tim always rules Garnett, Bowen neutralizes Allen & Tony certainly gets to the rim more than Fisher. Our problems our minor compared to a LA's need to sign a 20 year old with chronic knee problems to a max offer.

No I'd say we should Re-Sign Barry and also get J.R Smith:toast
