Turiaf agreed to offer sheet from warriors (4 years approx 17 mil)

If the lakers loose out on Turiaf, they might go after Thomas.

Well, the Warriors got their dominant big man to play alongside Maggette. The rest of the league is now doomed.

I wonder if George Hill and Ian Mahinmi are up for the extreme pressure which will be upon his shoulders to contribute significantly their rook seasons.

on the lakers he'd be a sub for sure behind bynum. on the spurs he'd probably start.

I find that's a lot of money for a player that isn't really athletic or skilled.
More than $4M for an energy guy. :downspin:
When I see Diop getting $32M/5 years, Pietrus $25M/4 years, Duhon $11M/2 years, James Jones $22M/5 years and Turiaf $17M/4 years, I find that the FA values have never been that high.

Spurs need to make an offer to Kelenna while GS waits.

don't the lakers have a week to match the offer?

i thought he was a restricted FA..

saxman

Yes. He just signed an offer sheet. This means the lakers need to at least match the offer or else loose him. If they match the offer, then they will have less money for Vuja(whatever) their Restricted FA Guard.

Warriors were desperate to find an Adonis Foyle replacement.

Now that Maggette has chosen, the chips sure are falling fast. With GS waiting on the Lakers, we could make offers on Azub and/or Barnes...and then leave ourselves open for someone to make an offer on KT and/or Bones...

I would much rather have Vujacic than Azubuike or Barnes, why is everyone so hyped off them? They are not worth nearly what some of you are saying, the MLE, gtfo...

mahinmi > turiaf

Hopefully. But considering that the Spurs took Mahinmi in the first round of the same draft that the Lakers got Turiaf in (in the second round), he should be.

More to the point -- does anyomne think that Mahinmi could get Turiaf's four year $17 million contract from anyone at this point?

After the rediculous contracts to Walton and Radmonovich, the Turiaf match would be a steal.

Hopefully Turiaf will get his ugly grill fixed with all that money. His teeth looks like he flosses with jumprope.
