That's alot of jack for a player that hasn't really been a franchise-type player. Don't get me wrong, he's been good....but I don't think he's been that good.

Definitely overpaid, but a pretty fair calculated risk that towards the end of his contract, he comes close to the value of his salary. By the end of his contract, he'll be making close to $17-18 million. But by then, max salaries may be reaching close to $30 million a year. And, if he's even remotely good (say as good or a little better than Chris Kaman), that may be a fair salary for him.

A seven-footer who can play pretty well gets a big contract.

Next up in our broadcast: Water is wet.

The Bucks got into a bidding war with themselves and lost.

if he continues to improve, maybe somewhere in the 15 and 10 and 1.5 blks range, he could be worth, if he doesnt improve then this is a severely over paid player.

12.5 is not guaranteed and incentive based... I think 5/60 is not to bad for Bogut... maybe a bit on the high side but not by much if you consider how much people seem to be willing to pay C's these days.

Still, I think he is more or less turning into TD lite... depending on how he clicks with Skiles and whether they trade red/mo Williams I could see him averaging 20/10/3 with 2 blocks within the next 2 seasons. All of a sudden Milwaukee got a steal if that occurs.

But hey I'm biased. haha.

Last year, he put up 14.3 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 1.7 bpg and shot 51% from the field. He averaged just under 35 mpg and played in 78 games.

You're asking him to improve less than one point and less than one rebound to be close to worth the contract.

And if you look at his second half splits it improves to 16/12/3 with 1.7bpg... If he averages about that next season, or even improves on it I think he is worth the money.

dude if the bucks get rid of redd or williams, fuck they got jefferson on that team

not enough touches to go around on offense, bogut should concentrate on other areas of his game, like reb and defense to make it look like his worth the contract

fuckn australian media are all over his nuts now, being the highest paid australian athlete.

heck when jawai got drafted and traded, they are on his nutts also, fukn lame.

i hope they bring back free to air fukn nba games down under, even if its 1 week postponed, i dont care, i need some nba action

Bogut had some amazing games last year when Redd and/or Mo was not playing.

I think the guy is pretty good, but that team last year was awful, everyone was shooting for their contracts. If he plays like he did during the second part of the season, it's a fair deal.

If Bogut continues his trajectory, and at the rate centers are (not) coming down the development pipe, he'll be an All-Star in 1-2 years.
