35 games out, starting to see trends, ect. but lots of clouds out there. I say that if someone gets all seeds right and the exact pathway to title = double Spur! please (Not including exact series win total, too much depends on zebras, lucky shots but the following will prevail).

1 Seed Spurs over 8. Lakers. 4 to 1. Kobe gets a game winner in game 3 at home, and the media goes crazy but reality hits. Odom goes next two games pulliing a Martin after some strong early play. It is simply the friggin Manu show over and over again. (Note Spurs hang on to top seed during last 10 days as Pop rests Tim due to incredible play by Manu and Parker and an inspired stretch by Rasho.)
2 Suns over 7. Rockets in a tough series 4 to 2
3. Sonics upset by 6 Grizz 3-4
4. Dallas in a close one over 5. Kings 4 and 3

Final Four:

Spurs over Grizz in 6. This one is Parkers series.
Dallas in a slight surprise over Suns in 6.

Spurs over Dallas in 5. Tim MVP seals the deal with his most dominant series in a long time as Spurs overcome the brilliance of Dirk due to his play.

Notice no Wolves, they give it a game try but lose tiebreaker to LA.

As an aside Finals: Spurs over resolute and recharged Pistons who upset the Heat 4 to 2 (breaking the hearts of Stern and ABC/BSPN).

Parade at 6.

Spurs do like 2003 except they win every series in 5 instead of 6.

Spurs over Grizz in 6. This one is Parkers series.
Dallas in a slight surprise over Suns in 6.

Spurs wouldn't play Grizz in your scenario in the 2nd round. Winner of 1/8 plays winner or 4/5.

It'd be Spurs/Dallas and Grizz/Rockets in your scenario.

"when the hell did we start paying attention to the Grizzlies again"

Like the Spurs and Mavs, the Grizz are 8-2 in Last10, including beating PHX without 3 Grizz starters. Grizz play athletically, and pretty good defense, and Mike is probably not yet finished putting his stamp on the team. They obviously were well prepared and played PHX very tough.

I guess I was probably wrong, re-post with the new knowledge. Although, I do not understand why 1 would play 4!!!!:

Spurs 1 over Lakers 8 = 4 to 1
Suns 2 over Rockets 7 = 4 and 2
Grizz 6 over Sonics 3 = 4 and 3
Dallas 4 over Kings 5 = 4 and 2.

Spurs over Dallas = 4 and 2,
Grizz over Suns (don't laugh) = 4 and 3 (Why Grizz athletic and deep and play D).

Spurs over Grizz = 4 and 2.

Spurs over Pistons = 4 and 2.
